Killian Hayes is an exciting young guard who could be picked as high as fifth overall

This is where things get serious. After the top five picks, you have the Pistons and Knicks sitting at No. 7 and No. 8. Killian Hayes looks to be the smart choice here for either of these teams.

For the Pistons, a superstar-caliber player to rebuild around. For the Knicks, a point guard and superstar-caliber player to play with and upgrade the Payton-Smith-Ntilikina backcourt they attempted last season.

Hayes is like his first name: he can kill you at will with his abilities which was refined overseas. He is a scoring playmaker, and his size at the guard position will attract many of the lottery teams who are in desperate need for a solid point guard.

The draft could go into a state of shock and see Hayes in a higher pick before Ball, Edwards, Wiseman, and Toppin because his skill level is, as they say, “up there.”

The 6’5” point guard will be a great choice for any team who wants to get to the point and scout the best talent. He may not go as high then, which makes sense, but he sure is on the watchlist and will be beneficial in the coming years for a team either as a starter or off the bench as a backup PG.

Hayes’ international experience makes him a likable pick, and he’ll be a good first-rounder for the Knicks if they play their cards right and look to him as a point guard option which will adjust their offense and run it effectively.
