James Wiseman, the 7-footer out of Memphis would be a wise choice as the second pick in the draft.

As for the second pick, you will notice that the same rule applies here as with Edwards: the team, Golden State Warriors, have the second pick and it’s unclear honestly who they will draft, but James Wiseman is a sharp choice at the No. 2 pick.

The Warriors were rumored to be trading their pick, so this pick may or may not happen. The Warriors are in an awkward spot in the draft and in the league anyway. They’re sorta rebuilding and they have to draft as high as  No. 2, which puts them in a higher expectation than what is necessary for them at this time.

As legend would have it, they had the worst record in the league and because of this, they won the No. 2 spot in the lottery. However, this doesn’t mean that they will actually make that selection themselves

With the duo of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, along with all of the other assets that they can use during free agency or during trade days, who can or will fit into the Warriors dynamic? Especially at this high of a pick?

If trading makes sense, then this is probably what they should do. If drafting makes sense and the Warriors can find someone worthy enough to be on the squad after losing Kevin Durant, then they should do that as well.

The only logical answer would be to go the logical route, which is to draft what they need and put Curry’s and Thompson’s glory on the back burner and look toward the future to someone who will benefit the team. The fit here then would be the 7’1″ Wiseman.

Wiseman is a Center out of Memphis. Wiseman fits right into the scheme of Curry, Thompson, Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green. With Wiggins and Green playing the forward positions, they need one other person to play big in their frontcourt.

The way that Wiseman plays is athletic and consists of attacking under the rim. His size and athleticism fits into the Warriors running and scoring game. He’ll add another element to the team.

Of course and again, the Warriors are up to their old tricks. Marquese Chriss and Kevon Looney currently hold down the fort in the frontcourt, so the Warriors may look to trade for a better fit than taking Wiseman off the board away from another team. However, it certainly looks good for now and works as a No. 2 pick because the 7’1” big man is projected to go high.
