1. Keep Jerami Grant

It appeared that Jerami Grant was a little unhappy with his role in Denver throughout the season. He was playing behind Paul Millsap and the veteran was not giving up his position meekly. The 2020 playoffs changed all that.

While he did not contribute with much consistency on the box score, what Grant did was so much more fundamental. He is one of the most underrated defenders in the league, with his athleticism, length, and basketball IQ making him a nightmare to play against.

This makes him the perfect frontcourt partner for Jokic whose athleticism is less than stellar. Grant can play both inside and out on both offense and defense. He can also give Jokic a rest on the defensive end at times thanks to his ability to defend all five positions.

Grant has a $9.3 million player option which he is likely to opt-out of. When he does, watch the offers roll in. This free agency class is really shallow and a player like Grant could clean up this offseason. If he waited until next year, his name could get a little lost, meaning his deal may not be as good.

Grant has not finished his development and he has also only been in the Nuggets system for one season. As he builds chemistry with the rest of the starters this is going to be one tough team to beat, should the Nuggets manage to secure his signature.
