2020 NBA Draft: LaMelo Ball and 4 other rookie basketball cards worth collecting
By Josh Wilson
2020 rookie cards worth collecting: Anthony Edwards
Anthony Edwards is a taller guard with a lot of moldability to his game. And given that he’s one of the only top prospects with a significant highlight reel from his year of experience before entering for the draft, he’s a more known prospect.
Of course, that also means his weaknesses are more-known as well, which could be an advantage or a disadvantage to his draft stock. But, a few weeks before the draft there were some whispers that the Warriors could take him second overall, something that would certainly help his marketability right out of the gate.
Anthony Edwards rookie card: Here’s what’s currently available on eBay
Edwards will need to sharpen up his distance shooting, as he hit fewer than than 30 percent of his field-goal attempts from beyond the arc at Georgia. Plenty of scouts think his form is good and that this will come around. Additionally, he wasn’t great at protecting the ball, registering 2.7 turnovers per game. On the upside statistically, he grabbed 5.2 rebounds per game, a strong amount for a guard.
Edwards is a possible top-3 pick and a probable top-5 pick, so he’s going to be worth collecting in the early-going if you believe in what he can turn into throughout the course of his career. Ultimately, as with any rookie, there’s the risk that he doesn’t reach his ceiling, but Edwards may be one of the most solid collectibles in the 2020 rookie collection.
