Overall outlook for Deni Avdija

Deni Avdija is a talent that probably won’t be the next Luka Doncic or Dirk Nowitzki but certainly has the potential to be a great role-player and playmaker.

The right team for Deni would be one where he can learn and improve without needing to be a star or irreplaceable starter yet. The great part about not being in most top-3 conversations which include LaMelo Ball, Anthony Edwards, and James Wiseman is that Deni already has the room to grow without the pressure to not be a disappointment.

In general, because of Deni’s flexibility as a swingman, he will be a welcomed asset on any team. The Golden State Warriors would be a great fit for Deni, as he could learn to improve his shooting under two of the best shooters in the league, even if that meant much of his season spent on the bench. On the defensive side, Draymond Green could also be a mentor. In fact, the Warriors are reportedly already impressed by Deni from a pre-draft workout.

Mock drafts also have Deni going to the Cleveland Cavaliers or Chicago Bulls, but a great team for him would be the Atlanta Hawks with Trae Young.

Stay tuned for the NBA draft on November 18.
