NBA Offseason Preview: 1 trade for the New York Knicks and each team

Chicago Bulls
The Chicago Bulls need to pick a direction for their franchise. There is optimism around the team as they bring in Billy Donovan to mold the future of promising young player Lauri Markkanen, Wendell Carter Jr. and Coby White. Zach LaVine was an impressive scorer last season and nearly made the All-Star team. They have the fourth overall pick in this draft.
However, the ceiling for this team with Zach LaVine as the leader of their offense is clear and it is not high enough. Swapping him out and putting the keys in the hands of the younger players would send them in the right direction so this move is about finding a player who meshes better with them.
The Sacramento Kings signed LaVine to the offer sheet that was eventually matched by the Chicago Bulls and are looking to make some moves of their own. Buddy Hield has made it clear that he does not get along with his coach and change in scenery is in need.
Adding spacing to a young team would benefit them greatly, especially one theoretically built around two big men. Hield had a down year last year and shot a strong 39.4 percent from distance on 9.6 attempts per game (he boasts career marks of 41.1 percent on 6.7 attempts per game). Finding a role that suits him better should see him get back to his career average and would be a boon for the Bulls.
