NBA Offseason Preview: 1 trade for the New York Knicks and each team

Golden State Warriors
In a similar vein, the Golden State Warriors are an interesting trade partner for the Detroit Pistons. If the Warriors decide they want to move back in the draft while boosting their current team a blockbuster deal could be in the works.
Brining in Blake Griffin is risky and costly but if Griffin is as healthy as is being reported he would be a lethal third option for this team and would immediately vault them back to the top of the contenders. The health of this team would be quite volatile, considering the returns of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. But the team owes it to them to do everything they can to continue the dynasty and this is a worthwhile risk.
Moving on from Looney and Wiggins makes the math work and would allow the Pistons to use their cap space to take a look at Wiggins while moving up in the draft to (ideally) bring in LaMelo Ball to jumpstart their rebuild. Blake Griffin as the cost to move up five spots in the draft may feel steep but given the health risks, it is hard to argue with.
With the seventh pick, the Warriors would still be able to add a young talent that would fit the role player mold better than anyone selected higher. Even if they were intrigued by a center of the future a la James Wiseman they could select someone like Okongwu at seven with similar results.
