2. Phoenix Suns swap picks

Now it’s time to discuss some pick swaps. The Cleveland Cavaliers should feel comfortable dropping deeper into the order this year as this incoming class appears to be loaded with talented role players. One team the Cavs should be targetting for a swap are the Phoenix Suns, who have motivation to move up in the selection process.

Phoenix tasted success in the Orlando bubble, nearly pushing their way into the postseason after an 8-0 run. This is the closest they have come to the playoffs since 2010 and could be enough reason for the Suns to take a shot at solidifying their rebuild.

Darius Garland and the No. 5 pick in the draft could push them over the top. The Suns saw how successful Devin Booker can be with a talented point guard next to him, only Ricky Rubio’s limitations as a scorer held them back. Garland is a perfect backcourt partner for Booker due to his high-level shot creation and potential as a playmaker.

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers bring in Kelly Oubre Jr., who is fresh off the best season of his young career. The 24-year-old averaged career-highs in points and rebounds, acting as a versatile offensive threat and reliable perimeter defender. Oubre is everything the Cavaliers are lacking on the wing and fits in seamlessly with the rest of this lineup.

The No. 10 pick is a decent spot for the Cavaliers to be in as intriguing prospects like R.J. Hampton, Saddiq Bey and Devin Vassell could all still be on the board at this point.
