4. Re-sign Andre Roberson

When Andre Roberson made in on to the court during the bubble, it seemed that the entire NBA community rejoiced. He had gone through so much on his road to recovery, but it was all worth it when he stepped over that sideline and tucked in his singlet.

Players who had never played a minute with Roberson were on their feet applauding, he simply means that much to the franchise. It is not just his basketball, Roberson is a respected leader and mentor.

When he is on the court, Roberson is a 3-and-D wing without the three. However, he is so good defensively that his lack of offense is rarely an issue. Roberson’s best offense is cutting to the hoop along the baseline, getting a pass which he is then able to dunk.

For his career Roberson has averaged 4.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.7 blocks in 22.3 minutes per game. His shooting splits are .477/.255/.468 which are not great but as explained earlier, Roberson is not in the NBA for his shooting.

Roberson was drafted with the 26th pick of the 2013 NBA draft and has always shown the desire to beat his opponent on defense. He was named with the 2016-17 NBA All-Defensive team before his injury. He needs to stay with the Thunder to pass this knowledge on at the very least.
