5. Trade Eric Bledsoe.

Eric Bledsoe is a tremendous point guard, during the regular season. He averaged 14.9 points, 5.4 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 0.9 steals in 27.0 minutes per game. His shooting splits were respectable at 47.5/34.4/79.0.

However, in the playoffs, Bledsoe loses his offensive edge. Last playoffs his scoring went down to 11.7 points per game. His assist numbers increased slightly to 5.9 per game. However, it is his efficiency which was the issue during the playoffs.

Bledsoe’s shooting splits plummeted to 38.8/25.0/80.8 which is a big reason the Bucks are struggling to make it out of the east. As the team’s point guard, he is an incredibly important cog in the machine. If his defender is able to sag off him and clog up the paint, this impacts Antetokounmpo’s effectiveness.

Trading Bledsoe for a point guard who relishes the challenge which is the playoffs rather than fading into the shadows will help the Bucks. Chris Paul, currently with the OKC Thunder, has been mentioned as a player who could make the difference.

However, due to the size of Paul’s contrast, it is a possibility that the asking price will be too steep. Next season Bledsoe is due $16.9 million and Paul is due $41.3 million. It would take Middleton to be included to get the job done.

One thing is for sure, the Bucks are going to be at the top of the NBA again next season. Making these five roster moves could get them into the finals at the very least.
