3. Re-sign Emmanuel Mudiay

When Emmanuel Mudiay was taken with the seventh pick of the 2015 NBA draft, he was given the keys to the Denver Nuggets franchise. He was the teams starting point guard from debut and it appeared too much for him to handle.

It took just over two seasons but Mudiay eventually lost the starting spot. His production went down until the Nuggets eventually traded him to the New York Knicks where he had a small career revival.

As a result the Jazz signed Mudiay to a one year, minimum salary deal. He averaged 7.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in only 15.7 minutes per game. He played behind Conley who the Jazz played in the hopes of him finding last seasons production.

Mudiay has now been in the system for a year and looked like he fit a whole lot better than Conley. If his minutes were to expand, then he would improve his production. Also, playing alongside the starters would take the pressure off Mudiay, which would free him up more and give him confidence.

While the Jazz would need to find another decent point guard, they have playmakers like Joe Ingles who can take on some of this role. Mudiay would be a low cost, solid reinvestment who would benefit under the coaching of Quinn Snyder for another season.
