What? No Dwight Howard?

Well, the thing is, as terrific as Dwight was, his contribution can be found elsewhere. Now at an age of 34, his athletic abilities are bound to regress, meaning that he will be able to do even less as the months go by.

Rajon Rondo, on the other hand, possesses a unique skill set that only a handful of NBA legends have ever showcased. His tremendous understanding of the game only gets better with age and is the epitome of the extremely-overused phrase “high basketball IQ”.

Rondo went from being a useful piece of the roster in the regular season to being absolutely indispensable in the postseason. He took care of the ball when the game was risky, even upping his 3-point shooting, at 40.0 percent, an area in which he has struggled a ton in the past.

Letting go of Rajon Rondo would be catastrophic for the Los Angeles Lakers. For the first time in his career, LeBron has one teammate that can wisely take care of the basketball when he is resting on the bench.

Could Rondo be the one, to help the Lakers finally overcome the Boston Celtics for the most championships in NBA history? Just imagine the headlines.
