3. Move on from Courtney Lee

A 12 year veteran of the NBA, Courtney Lee needs to find a system that suits the way that the 34-year-old plays. That team is not the Dallas Mavericks. In his last two years, Lee has only played 46 games.

His numbers were the worst of his career during his time with the franchise. He was only able to get on to the court for 13.3 minutes per game. In that time he averaged 4.1 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.7 assists.

Considering he was part of the trade which saw Porzingis and Hardaway to the team, these numbers would have been forgiven except for his salary. Lee was paid $25 million over the past two years.

While his 3-point shooting was good this season, Lee shot the ball at 44.7 percent from deep, he is at the wrong end of his career. The Mavericks are full of talent at the shooting guard position, which is where Lee plays.

They have Hardaway, Curry and Delon Wright, all who fit the timeline of the Mavericks better than Lee. The Mavericks need to focus on other areas of their roster, such as the backup point guard position where they could use some experience, if J.J Barea finishes his career.
