Move Coby White into the starting lineup full-time

The good news for Bulls fans is that the starting point guard of the future is already on the roster. Coby White had a solid rookie season and his potential is promising enough that the team can live with any mistakes he might make as a young player getting acclimated to additional responsibilities.

Last season, he only started one out of the 65 games he appeared in. Next year, he should be given the job full-time. Chicago’s new head coach has a knack for developing young talent. If Billy Donovan can do for White what he did for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in OKC, it’s a move the Bulls won’t regret.

Last season, Coby White shot a respectable 35.4 percent from 3-point land while averaging a solid 13.2 points per game. At 6’4”, he’s got great height for the point guard position and has shown the ability to get hot from three when he’s in a rhythm.

In a game last November against the New York Knicks, the rookie knocked down seven 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to help Chicago walk away with the win. It’s that kind of offensive explosion that mandates the organization give White the starting job full-time. His upside is just too good to overlook.
