3. Re-sign Alec Burks

After putting up good numbers for the hapless Golden State Warriors in the first half of last season, Alec Burks was traded with Glenn Robinson III to the 76ers.

He continued to put up decent numbers in the 18 games he played in Philly, averaging 12.2 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 20.2 minutes per game. Burks shot the ball efficiently as well with a slash line of .461/.416/.829 which were all well above his career percentages.

After seven and a half seasons playing for the Utah Jazz, Burks has played for four teams in the last two seasons. Philly is where he seems to have fitted in the best during that time if his shooting percentages are anything to go by.

In fact, his 41.6 percentage from deep was the third-best for the 76ers last season. They will be looking to sign the shooting guard to a minimum deal as he fits their system well. They will not get as good production from any of the other free agents in this year’s class for a minimum deal.

Signing Burks will also give the 76ers the ability to include a decent shooting guard in the Horford trade to entice a team to take on the 34-year-old’s huge deal. They will have Burks, Josh Richardson, Matisse Thybulle and Korkaz as options.
