The Golden State Warriors are in a unique situation as they look to bounce back. Let’s take a look at a huge 3-team trade that brings Myles Turner west.

The Golden State Warriors are in a unique position. They’re looking to bounce back to contention from the depths of the NBA’s worst record and make their rebound in just one season. The Warriors have to maximize what’s left of the competitive window provided by Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, and they don’t have time to waste.

Thanks to finishing with the league’s worst record, they ended up with the No. 2 pick in the NBA draft, and a rookie is not likely to contribute much to their quest in competing for another championship. Especially a rookie in this class.

That means a trade needs to be an option for the Warriors, and the second pick alone probably won’t be enough to move the needle, but Andrew Wiggins’s salary and potential (if we’re being optimistic) could get closer in conjunction with some other pieces.

In perusing TradeNBA‘s pages, I stumbled upon a three-team fake trade that could go a long way towards fixing what’s wrong with the Warriors, the Denver Nuggets and the Indiana Pacers. It’s hard to find a three-team deal that works for anybody, let along all parties, but TradeNBA user johnjohnson2468 may have done the trick right here.

It’s a monster, and it looks like everybody wins. Over the coming pages, we’ll break it down from each team’s perspectives.
