Houston Rockets small-ball target – Justin Holiday

Not to sound like a broken record, but Justin Holiday’s 3-point shooting and defensive expertise make him an ideal fit for the Houston Rockets.

Holiday appeared in every regular season game for the Indiana Pacers this season, serving as their ironman off the bench. In 73 appearances, the shooting guard averaged 8.3 points on .428/.405/.791 shooting splits, while also tallying 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. The guard’s 40.5 percentage from behind the arc was a career-high and would give the Rockets another lethal scoring threat on the perimeter.

Also making his presence known defensively, Holiday averaged 1.2 steals per game, the second-most in his ongoing seven-year career, and 0.6 blocks per game. Standing at 6’6″ with a 7’0″ wingspan, Holiday could get inserted at multiple spots for this positionless Houston Rockets squad and provide them with a solid two-way presence to bolster their lacking second unit.

Another player that lives up to his 3-and-D status, Justin Holiday, would be a great fit with the Houston Rockets if they can get him on a reasonable deal. After his stellar campaign with the Indiana Pacers, the swingman will not have to wait long for a new contract in free agency, and the Rockets should make an early pitch.
