Houston Rockets small-ball target – Glenn Robinson III

Glenn Robinson III has made six different stops in the first six years of his NBA career, and the Houston Rockets should look to make it seven. The forward might not be the most well-recognized free agent target, but he fits the bill for their needs.

Playing for both the Golden State Warriors and Philadelphia 76ers this season, Robinson put together a breakout campaign. In 62 appearances, he averaged 11.7 points on .486/.391/.860 shooting splits, in addition to his 4.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.

Robinson’s 39.1 percentage from behind the arc is certainly attractive for a Houston team that thrives off the success of its outside shooting. Despite relying so heavily on the long ball, Houston ranked 14th in the league in 3-point percentage this season, coming in at 35.2 percent. A player like Robinson is not going to make that number skyrocket, but he could unquestionably help provide another offensive threat from the perimeter.

Standing at 6’6″, Robinson would also fit like a glove in Houston’s small-ball lineups on both ends of the floor. In need of a scoring punch off the bench, the 26-year-old could be a viable option on a low-cost deal.
