1. Giannis Antetokounmpo

Maybe the only player with more absurd physical gifts than Anthony Davis is the best bet to stop him on any given night.

Giannis Antetokounmpo isn’t always the go-to defender for the opposition’s best player. Though asked by the Milwaukee Bucks to cover ground and mask mistakes as a free safety type, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year can still lock into a singular focus when called upon.

Case in point: Davis shot just 8-of-23 against Giannis when the two faced off in the regular season. All the unique advantages AD’s unprecedented blend of size and movement afford are neutralized against Antetokounmpo, who brings special traits of his own that have risen him to MVP status.

The Greek Freak is 6’10” with a 7’3” wingspan and ginormous hands. He moves like a guard and can cover absurd ground in limited steps. The once lanky 19-year-old from Greece has filled out his body to create a blockade few can move.

Milwaukee has its sites set on the Finals. There’s a strong likelihood the Lakers are there to meet them if everything aligns properly.

When the time comes for the Bucks to breakthrough for the title, slowing Davis will be a top priority. It’ll be another addition to the long list of responsibilities Giannis already has but only because the best bet to stop a unicorn is with some magic of your own.
