4. Trade Justice Winslow

A big part of the Igoudala trade, Justice Winslow is not a piece that is going to move the Grizzlies too far forward. He is an incredibly talented player whose defense is strong. However, Winslow struggles to stay on the court.

Over his four and a half seasons with the Miami Heat, Winslow managed to play a total of 241 games. He missed 139 potential games, all due to injury. He has already missed all 23 possible games with the Grizzlies thanks to his hip injury.

A team looking to make their way up the standings needs to have consistency in their playing group. Winslow’s body does not allow for this. He is also partway through a sizeable contract, where he is due $13 million next season.

This is too great a salary for a player who suits up for 60 percent of games. Fortunately for the Grizzlies, if they are unable to trade him, Winslow’s final year of his deal is a team option for the 2021-22 season.

Finding a deal for a 6’6″ defensively minded, playmaking combo forward should not be too difficult. The teams that can absorb salary are mostly at the bottom of the standings and could take a risk that could help them secure a quality player if he can stay on the court.
