4. Draft well

The Suns only have the 10th pick in the 2020 NBA draft and they need to make sure that they make it count. Being a late lottery pick the Suns are going to need to be able to respond to who the teams before them have taken.

Despite the fact that the Suns have a solid back court in Booker and Rubio, with Oubre in the other wing position, this is where they should focus. Rubio will be 30 years old when the new season starts and only has two years left on his contract.

To this end the Suns could look at point guard to be mentored buy the Spaniard. Killian Hayes out of France has shown a solid ability to create shots for others and can defend incredibly well. Tyrese Haliburton is another good option thanks to his court vision and decision making.

If neither of these players are available then the Suns should go slightly bigger. Aaron Nesmith is a good option as another scoring option. The small forward out of Vanderbilt is a natural shooter who can help space the floor for Booker and Ayton.

If the Suns want to focus on defense, Isaac Okoro is the best defender in the draft class and while he is listed as a shooting guard he can defend multiple positions. Likewise Saddiq Bey is a small forward who can defend multiple positions and plays well offensively both on and off the ball.
