After something of a lost season for the Detroit Pistons, it is time to hand out some grades for the individuals involved.

The Detroit Pistons have not played a game since March 11 and yet somehow they have not yet entered the offseason. The purgatory that they have been stuck in is enough to make even the most patient fan beg for some change. Before moving on to who they should pursue once free agency begins (whenever that may be) it is time to hand out some grades for those who finished the season with the Pistons.

All of this is being considered from the perspective of how each player made progress this season. For a team hoping to make consecutive playoff appearances for the first time in a decade, it will not be about the success of the team. That being said there were certainly some positives to take away from this season.

Overall this will strive to be a fair and honest evaluation. It is not a failure of everyone involved that the Detroit Pistons were bad this season, despite what some of the more vocal members of Pistons Twitter would have you believe.

That being said there were certainly things to critique from a mostly disappointing year in Detroit Pistons fandom. While this is the first step in a rebuild (if they Pistons are actually doing that) the season was a mixed bag. Failures of some and successes of others have caused the acceleration of the restoration.

We’ll break down the roster in grades, starting with the Pistons’ “Incomplete” grades and go from there.
