The LA Clippers have a problem with making shots and it hurt them at the end of the season. To find the stroke on offense it will be a team effort.

Offense always has to improve when it fails in the NBA. For the LA Clippers, their lack of shot-making ability did them in. Shots didn’t go in. That’s the way it goes.

Doing other things on offense helps your rhythm. The players that have been able to transcend the sport are the ones that have been able to do other things.

Being able to dribble, pass, set screens and rebound go a long way into creating an effective offense. The LA Clippers were able to do all those things.

From 1-through-15, every player knew how to affect the game based on fundamentals. What they lacked was the confidence in each other.

That affected their ability to shoot.

The Clippers had a lack of chemistry and that did them in. The team had to focus more on the stars.

Paul George and Kawhi Leonard needed to get the ball more. The superstars are the players that affect the game the most.

A healthy dose of both players is what is needed for success. George and Leonard have skill. They can do it all. That’s just on the offensive end.

On the defensive end, they are some of the best talents in the history of basketball. Making shots is tough for them. Everybody is focusing on them.

It’s hard to find creases and open holes to dominate the defense. The Clippers found they have to get young at point guard.

What that did was allow George and Leonard to become the dominant ball handlers. Your superstars get better as the game winds down.

More touches help teams gain an advantage over other teams. Concentrating on getting Leonard and George the ball puts more pressure on the defense.

Shooting will be essential for the LA Clippers next season

Easy baskets happen through pressure and superstars create that. 3-point shooting is not a strong suit for this team. They have to find a way to shoot the three better.

LA has Paul George and they have Landry Shamet and there’s not much left. This is very tricky because you have to know the Clippers’ strong suit.

A fundamental aspect of basketball is the fact you have to score. If you are shooting for that on the court then it has to go in. In this case, those shots weren’t going in. Generally speaking, that’s the role player’s job. Role players have to spot up and shoot. Superstars have to create.

The LA Clippers have to figure out have to put the ball in the net, and they have to do so more efficiently.

That means passing for the better shot, making quicker attempts at driving to the rim, just making more precise decisions with confidence.

Focusing is what separates the men from the boys. People have failed classes because they could not focus. Games slip away because of a lack of focus.

Focus is necessary to succeed at anything in life. A person with great focus can accomplish anything. An NBA championship cannot be won without extreme attention to detail.

Enjoying the ride helps accomplish that. Sometimes things aren’t going your way and shots aren’t falling. Losing control of yourself is what makes things worse.

Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are the start of everything. How they set the tone in the beginning decides the game. Playing basketball can be like splitting hairs.

It can be crazy. Being dominant on offense is impossible at any level. The Clippers were done in on the offensive end. There are multiple ways to improve but its mainly going to come from accountability.
