Denver Nuggets: Which pending free agents to buy or sell?

Torrey Craig – Buy

Torrey Craig fits this team perfectly and helped carry them when they were missing Gary Harris and when Will Barton was never able to turn. One of the most deceptive strengths of the Nuggets team is the number of wings they can put on the floor that cause the other teams fits.

Craig is a smart playmaker and allowed the offense to flow, with expert ball-movement being a core function of the team. He is also a solid rebounder on the wing. Admittedly some of the wings will have to go if they wish to make the kind of trade that changes their destiny.

That only makes the case for re-signing Craig all the more clear. Craig on a value contract is a trade asset. Making the money work for this team will be essential and having a number of contracts to piece together for a bigger contract could clear the gap.

Ultimately Torrey Craig gives the Denver Nuggets plenty of flexibility on and off the court. The numbers are never going to stand out for season averages just because of the glut of talent at the position. But like Malik Beasley before him, given an increased opportunity he can show out.
