Anthony Davis entered the season for the Los Angeles Lakers with some questions to answer. En route to a likely championship, he’s answered them all.

Anthony Davis had more question marks than any superstar in the NBA coming into this season after being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. In spite of being the most sought-after trade piece in recent history, there was a debate whether a package consisting of draft picks, Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart and Brandon Ingram was too much to pay the New Orleans Pelicans for his services.

While there’s no doubt that each of these players have taken steps forward this season in New Orleans (especially Ingram), it’s become a sillier question as the season has gone on. The Pelicans took some nice strides but missed the playoffs, and the Los Angeles Lakers are two wins away from winning an NBA championship.

Considering the Pelicans were nowhere close to championship ready with or without Davis, the haul they received in exchange for him simply makes the deal as close to a win-win as it gets in the NBA today.

With the Lakers on the cusp of a title, Davis has taken on all challengers and questions posed to him, and he’s excelled in the face of adversity in ways even the most optimistic fans and media couldn’t have predicted.

Let’s take a look at the three biggest questions that Anthony Davis has answered this season en route to what will almost certainly be the Lakers’ 17th NBA championship.
