Giannis Antetokounmpo has won MVP for the second straight season, and the Milwaukee Bucks star is most deserving of the honor.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, the star of the Milwaukee Bucks and reigning MVP is now a two-time MVP. The news wasn’t met without criticism. Fans, in particular, were debating that someone other than Antetokounmpo was deserving of the league’s most prestigious award. LeBron James, James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, Anthony Davis, and Chris Paul were amongst the conversation to name a few.

But as they say, where there is pain, there is joy. Where there’s rain, there is a rainbow. When there’s a will, there’s a way. It’s a philosophy that has stuck with Giannis and the Bucks all season, especially during the last two seasons. The Bucks have held down the number one record in the NBA for two consecutive seasons, which advanced them to the postseason in favorable positions. You would think Milwaukee would be confident and rest on this fact, however, that is precisely what turned out to be their downfall.

The Bucks during the playoffs seem to fall apart. They don’t seem to, they do fall apart. All of their confidence during the regular season fades somewhere into an unknown, deer-less wilderness. They sit there and do not search for it or find new confidence in unexpected places like other teams. Their record and respect as a result gets lost, and rightfully so.

The playoffs are about matchups where the best of the best in the entire league meet up and play against each other. It’s every man for himself and the better man wins. So, no one dare care about who had the better record during the regular season or compare this to a win in the playoffs.
