Although the NBA’s 2019-20 free-agent class is not the most star-studded, there are still a few names worth taking a flyer on.

The NBA Finals may have begun, but 28 teams at home have already shifted their focus to the offseason. With the draft and free agency approaching in the coming months, several teams are gearing up to undergo some roster construction.

One change for this offseason compared to others, aside from this one starting in October, is that the 2020 NBA free-agent class is not the most star-heavy.

Anthony Davis is undoubtedly the most prominent name on the market with a player option for next season. Still, all signs point to him remaining with the Los Angeles Lakers for the foreseeable future, which appears to be a common theme in this year’s class.

Although nothing is certain, big names like Gordon Hayward, Fred VanVleet, Goran Dragic, and DeMar DeRozan, to name a few, all appear complacent staying right where they are long-term.

As uneventful as that might make this offseason, there are still going to be some players flying under the radar that could be impactful on teams across the league. Sure, none might tip the needle by pushing their roster over the edge into championship favorites, but they would be good pickups to increase those chances.
