4. Re-sign Denzel Valentine
Another oft-injured player, Denzel Valentine is the better option for the Bulls to re-sign due to Valentine being a much better floor-spacer. While he has only averaged 7.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game, It is his percentages which set him apart from Dunn.
The point guard has a slash line of 42.2/30.6/72.6 compared to Valentine’s 40.1/36.6/75.3. It is this middle number that makes all of the difference. Hitting six percent more of his shots from deep over the season means oppositions need to respect his shot more.
Valentine also has the ability to play both wing positions and allows for greater flexibility in the Bulls potential line-ups. He has also shown the ability to score in bunches with three games over 20 points and one game over 30 points.

This may not sound like much but he has only started regularly one of his three seasons. When he was given the time to show his ability he was able to deliver. However, a starting role is not where Valentine has a future with the Bulls.
As mentioned at the start of the slide, Valentine is a good option for floor spacing. If he can work on his game to where he is able to hit 40 percent of his 3-point shots, he can become a truly valuable bench piece for a rebuilding team.
His price tag will also be a lot less which will enable to Bulls to entice a bigger name in free agency in the 2021-22 season. This enables the Bulls to get back to the playoffs a lot sooner.
