2. Glenn Robinson III

Philadelphia started the season without Glenn Robinson III, who was a member of the Golden State Warriors when the year began. They ended the season without the forward too, as an oblique muscle strain kept him out of the postseason.

In the interim, he didn’t quite show enough to solidify his spot with the Sixers long-term. Prior to his acquisition, he averaged 12.9 points per game with the Warriors, shooting 40.0 percent from three. After the Sixers got him? Robinson III dropped all the way down to 7.7 points per game on 33.3 percent shooting from three. The forward was supposed to be a scoring threat off the bench, but outside of a 25-point outburst against the Los Angeles Lakers in March, it didn’t happen.

Ironically, Robinson III may prove to be too rich for Philadelphia’s blood, despite his struggles after joining the team. He did average 11.7 points per game over the year, easily a career-high and arguably enough to make a claim on a full-time starter role, which he had for the first time when he was with Golden State. He’s also steady with the ball, sporting an 8.0 turnover percentage for the season.

This was Robinson III’s second stint in Philadelphia, after he played ten games for the team during his rookie season. Perhaps down the line, he’ll get a third chance with the 76ers and stick like a charm.
