4. Guarantee Isaac Bonga

In his second season in the NBA, first with the Wizards, Isaac Bonga played a good role at small forward for the team. It is safe to say that Bonga is not offensively minded. In the 66 games he played this season he averaged only 3.5 shot attempts per game.

The good thing is that Bonga knows his game, shown by the fact he made 50.4 percent of his field goal attempts. He averaged 5.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 18.9 minutes per game, even starting 49 games. He was a bargain for the Wizards, only earning $1.4 million for the season.

This is where Bonga is going to be of great value for the Wizards next season, figuratively and literally. Next year Bonga is due $1.6 million if the Wizards guarantee him. This is something that the front office should not even have to think about.

As mentioned earlier the Wizards have $101 million in guaranteed salary with a need to re-sign Bertans. Bonga has played in the system for a year and the system suits him. This is shown by the fact that they were in contention for the playoffs with him as a starter, even without Wall.

When the superstar backcourt is back together, it is the supporting cast that is going to determine how deep the Wizards might be able to advance next season.
