The Washington Wizards had another season without John Wall and they did surprisingly well. Here are five roster moves they need to make.

The Washington Wizards have not had the services of their franchise players John Wall for more than a season and a half. This season they were still competitive, riding the back the talents of Bradley Beal and his 30.5 points per game.

Rookie Rui Hachimura looks like a solid piece for the team, averaging 13.5 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. It is going to be interesting to see his chemistry with Wall when the superstar point guard returns next season.

The Wizards also traded for Davis Bertans prior to the start of the season. It appears that Coach Scott Brooks gave Bertans the green light and the team benefitted in a major way. He almost doubled his scoring average from his time with the San Antonio Spurs.

Without their superstar for the season, the Wizards had a tremendous supporting cast around Beal. Apart from Hachimura and Bertans, the Wizards had five other players who had double digit scoring.

Thomas Bryant averaged 13.2 points on 58.1 percent shooting from the floor. Jordan McRae averaged 12.8 prior to being traded, his replacement. Shabazz Napier averaged 11.6 points. Ish Smith averaged 10.9 points and Troy Brown averaged 10.4 per game.

The Wizards also had three players average between 7.4 and 9.4 points per game. This shows that the system allowed for players to come in to the system at any point of the season and score freely.

However, it was the other end of the court where the Wizards truly struggled. They were 28th in the league in total rebounds and 29th in the league in field goal percentage against, free throw percentage against and points against.

A bright spot for the Wizards is they have the ninth and 37th pick in the upcoming NBA draft. With all of that, lets turn to the five roster moves the Washington Wizards need to make this coming offseason.
