2. Their supporting cast has shown up

A lot has been said about the Los Angeles Lakers bench mob this season. Mainly that they don’t stand a chance against the Clippers or that they don’t have enough shooters to surround LeBron, like usually.

Even though the supporting cast to LA’s big superstar duo has been doing just fine, it is more than likely that the Denver Nuggets will win this specific battle. They are a young, hungry team with a lot to prove, which is clear every time they step on the court.

With guys like Monte Morris, Michael Porter Jr. and Gary Harris all providing the team with a much-needed spark of energy, the Nuggets would certainly not have gotten this far without them.

We can’t, of course, overlook the influence a veteran like Paul Millsap has had on this totally inexperienced squad. He might have taken a step back from his old scoring days, though his passing ability, defense and basketball IQ have not dipped one bit.

Regarding the Lakers, it is quite difficult to predict how their supporting cast is going to play. One day they can’t make a shot to save their lives, the next one they have LeBron and Anthony Davis chilling on the sidelines, comfortably controlling the game.

This is a group of guys with tons of playoff and championship experience. Rajon Rondo, Danny Green, JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard only begin to highlight a very lengthy list of veterans that Rob Pelinka has done a great job attracting.
