Los Angeles Lakers: 3 reasons they should fear the Nuggets
3. The Nuggets have the hot hand
On the one hand, the Denver Nuggets have been on fire since entering the bubble. It seems like every game they’ve played has gone down to the wire, enriching our lives with some incredible basketball every time they step on the court.
On the other hand, should we really bash the Los Angeles Lakers for doing their work quickly and effortlessly? Since the playoffs have tipped-off, the Lakers have made no noise whatsoever. But here they are, entering the Western Conference Finals.
Bottom line is, even though every opponent the Lakers have faced so far has been far inferior to them, one just can’t deny the fact that the Nuggets are flaming hot, coming into this series.
In this year’s playoffs, the Nuggets duo has been incredible, to say the least. Nikola Jokic has been averaging 25.4 points, 10.8 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game while even playing some clutch defense. Jamal Murray, averaging 27.1 points per game, is a member of his own 50-49-91 club. Good luck guarding that.
Even though the Lakers roster is filled with a wide variety of quality defenders, one has to wonder how this matchup is exactly going to go down.
