The Western Conference Finals matchup is now set, and the Los Angeles Lakers are set to face this extremely surprising Denver Nuggets team.

The Los Angeles Lakers quickly eliminated their opponents, the Houston Rockets, in a pretty effortless manner. Having won both of their opening two series in a gentleman’s sweep, the Lakers have the fatigue factor on their side.

Going up against the clear-cut title favorites, are the Denver Nuggets, a team that has defied all odds since entering the NBA bubble. Led by a superstar duo of Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, they seem to be unstoppable right now, and that worry the Lakers a bit.

The Denver Nuggets achieved the impossible. Not only did they defeat the Utah Jazz in the first round while being down 3-1, but they repeated the same story against the LA Clippers, who were perceived by many as the title favorites.

When the season or even the playoffs started, no Lakers fan was particularly concerned about this Denver Nuggets team. But all props to them, because they are causing insomnia all around the league.

Up next for the young Nuggets, are the experienced Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron James and co. have had a single mission since day 1 of the season, winning the franchise’s 17th Larry O’Brien trophy. Something they want to do to express their gratitude to the late Kobe Bryant.

The Lakers remain the favorites to win the chip, and of course this series. The burning question is, will this be another walk in the park for Frank Vogel’s squad, or a battle till the end, like the previous Nuggets series?
