Even as the playoffs are ongoing the hot stove of the NBA coaching carousel continues to get hotter. Of the available jobs, which ranks the highest?

So far a number of new coaches have already been hired during the stretch of time since the season initially paused. With Billy Donovan somewhat surprisingly choosing to part ways with the OKC Thunder last week followed by Mike D’Antoni bowing out following the Houston Rockets loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, the number of available head coaching positions currently sits at six.

What makes these jobs attractive is open to interpretation. For the New Orleans Pelicans and Chicago Bulls, untapped potential of young talent looking for a culture and a step in the right direction is key. When it comes to the Indiana Pacers, they are looking to modernize their offense and finally move out of the first round of the playoffs.

The Philadelphia 76ers and Houston Rockets still have championship aspirations (and the payroll to prove it) despite being summarily dismissed in the early this season. The ambiguity of the Thunder’s direction makes their opening both intriguing and mystifying.

Between these teams, they have 10 former All-Stars and a collection of borderline candidates. The talent for all these teams seems to be in place for playoff contention, should they all choose to stay the course. Anyone coming in will either be looking to take the next step with the team or, if the Thunder do blow up their roster, help weather the storm and bring the franchise into a new era slowly.

So when looking at all the available jobs, let’s take check out how they rank.
