Miami Heat

The worst-kept rumor at the beginning of the return to play was that the Miami Heat were interested in bringing Victor Oladipo to South Beach to embrace Heat Culture. The makeup of things has changed as the Heat have made it to the conference finals but the intrigue of getting the first shot at Oladipo (and his Bird Rights to try to build the next super team) still makes sense.

This gets a little trickier given the way the roster has gelled and made some key players significantly less tradeable. Something along the lines of Kendrick Nunn and a sign-and-trade for one of the myriads of cap holds on this team who could help the Pacers next season could go a long way making this work.

The Pacers would be smart to take a shot on Kendrick Nunn. While he has only played in six of the teams nine playoff games so far and seen his minutes drastically dip he still finished second in Rookie of the Year this season for a reason. In the regular season, he averaged 15.3 points, 3.3 assists and 2.7 rebounds with shooting splits of .439/.350/.850.

Picking between Solomon Hill and Meyers Leonard gives both teams some options. Nunn is the prize here for the Pacers regardless of who else comes back. Getting a young potential star for this team fits the timeline of their team and means they do not lose Oladpio for nothing.
