LA Clippers: Kawhi Leonard’s championship mentality

The LA Clippers are destined to win a championship. They have overcome many mental challenges. Kawhi Leonard was the solution to another test.

The thrill of victory stimulates the mind. The LA Clippers took home a big win in Game 3 when they beat the Denver Nuggets 113-107.

Five minutes of dominance by Kawhi Leonard ended with one finger. Leonard’s middle finger block invigorated the culture that basketball has created.

Michael Jordan’s epic 3-point streak against the Portland Trail Blazers comes to mind.

Moments of greatness are why we turn on the TV and watch an NBA game. You never know what will happen. Leonard’s block was special but it was the exclamation point to five minutes of Kawhi being Kawhi.

Plethora doesn’t describe the number of great moments Leonard has had throughout his career.

His mental toughness has proven solid over any obstacle. With two championships already obtained, number three is in clear view. The league has gotten better over the years and Leonard has been able to adapt. He has been Finals MVP in both championships.

The first one was for the always dominant defense Leonard is known for. Perhaps the greatest basketball player of all time in LeBron James was no match. Next was the all-out dominance while leading the Toronto Raptors against the Golden State Warriors.

This third one will matriculate when he learns how to coexist with his teammates. Leonard has been with three teams in three years.

Generating championships for one team is next for the career of the superstar.

The legacy of Kawhi Leonard has been the ability to use his mind to achieve victory. That is what man has done to survive and grow an advanced civilization.

Game 3 was the start of another lesson the LA Clippers need to learn. Closing games and being clutch is what most teams never learn. LA is pacing itself for three straight victories. The whole game the Clippers were thinking about the two games after this one.

Leonard was going to close out the battle. A young journalist sitting in his room knew that.
