3. Re-sign Matthew Dellavedova

A member of the 2015-16 championship team, Matthew Dellavedova signed a $34 million deal over three years with the Milwaukee Bucks. He was traded back to the Cavaliers in the 2018-19 season.

While Dellavedova is not going to move the needle a great deal. What he is going to provide some good veteran leadership to some of the younger guards who are the future of this team. When a team is in the heart of a rebuild, leadership counts.

Dellavedova is also the type of player who looks to create for others, rather than himself. Last season Dellavdova averaged 3.1 points and 3.2 assists per game. His points per game production would have been higher if he had shot the ball at a better clip.

He shot the ball from the floor at 35.4 percent, which is the worst number for his career. However, it is his shooting from deep which is a concern. Dellavedova shot the ball at 23.1 percent from behind the long line. He is a 36.8 percent career 3-point shooter.

However, while Dellavedova is able to play defense and keep his intensity on the court, he is going to help a young group. He is only 29, turning 30 just prior to the 2020-21 season. Currently, only he and Kevin Love on the current roster will be 30 or over when the season tips off.
