Jeff Green

Currently a member of the small-ball Houston Rockets, Jeff Green is a player that could fit like a glove with the Dallas Mavericks. If there is one word to describe the 34-year-old, it is versatile, which is precisely what they could use on both ends of the floor, along with some physicality.

After getting cut by the Utah Jazz in December, Green signed a 10-day contract with the Houston Rockets in February, which eventually landed him a contract for the remainder of the season. With his current contract listed at $695,526, Green has undoubtedly outplayed his deal as he provided an essential spark for the Rockets since he joined.

In 18 regular-season games with the Rockets, Green averaged 12.2 points per game on 56.4 percent field goal shooting and 35.4 percent 3-point shooting. As good as his offense has been, Green has not been a slouch on the defensive end either, guarding a multitude of positions and can be a strong shot-blocker.

Playing in his 12th NBA season, Green has been around for quite some time and could provide the veteran presence that the Dallas Mavericks are looking for. The team should undoubtedly make a move for the 34-year-old once free agency hits and try to lure him 239 miles north from Houston to Dallas.
