Kira Lewis

Kira Lewis is currently shaping up to be one of the speediest players in the crop of prospects this year, possessing a unique acceleration ability.

With speed as a massive strength, Kira Lewis will make a huge impact at this year’s draft combine, specifically the shuttle run, the lane agility and the three-quarter sprint. He’ll also be considered during the shooting drills, and with questions around whether Lewis can keep consistent as a shooter, constantly looming around his scouting profile.

This combine will decide whether Lewis is actually worth a lottery pick or a late first-round pick and if the post-pandemic rust will take effect of his agile ability. Scouts from teams with later picks will easily have their eyes and notepads out for Lewis, who looks to prove himself as one of this year’s steals.

Lewis possesses much more than just a freak set of legs as well. With a great ability to defend on the ball, making him a threat defensively. But there are some signs of caution with Lewis, which are worth nothing. Firstly, much like Achiuwa, Lewis lacks the ability to make shots consistently enough to warrant himself as a threat.

He can make a shot here and there, but adding a shooting ability to his game will rise his stock a ton. His at-the-rim finishing ability is also worth questioning, as he struggles to get a good look in traffic. Lewis is still a great player to develop, especially if he would get selected in the late first round by a team that would be willing to put the time in, such as the New York Knicks.

Lewis is undoubtedly a keen prospect that a lot of scouts will have their eyes on, record-keepers might need to make some adjustments at the end of the draft combine.
