Eight prospects to watch in the NBA Draft’s virtual combine

Precious Achiuwa
Heading into the 2020 NBA Draft with one of the more unique names in recent memory, Precious Achiuwa will have a lot of eyes on him heading into the virtual combine.
With an insane athletic ability to punish at the rim and grab rebounds at 6’9, Achiuwa is a fantastic chance at a high lottery pick in the draft. A lot of lottery teams, including the Sacramento Kings and the San Antonio Spurs, will be eager to watch Achiuwa in the draft combine if he chooses to attend of course.
At best when he’s around the rim, Achiuwa is one of the more athletic players in this year’s draft, allowing for a large frame to have such an impressive vertical. Scouts and fans alike are curious to whether Achiuwa is able to show off more than just an impressive athletic ability, and if he has more tools in his arsenal.
The main issue in Achiuwa is his lack of consistency on the offensive end, with a lack of shooting and playmaking. Achiuwa is still certainly a very raw prospect in terms of his ability and has a ton of work still yet to be made to his playstyle, including whether or not he can use his NBA ready body and athleticism, to his advantage. Using his frame, Achiuwa still is a versatile rebounder and an improving defender, similar to that of Pascal Siakam. But it all comes with the learning process.
If this was a draft from the 1990s or early 2000s, Achiuwa would undoubtedly be a top pick considering the tenacity and endurance he really has. Matched with growing athleticism and an offensive game which is still a work-in-progress, Achiuwa has the makings to be a special player. It’s just a matter of if he can use athleticism in an NBA environment, while also developing his 3 and D game.
Eyes will be on Precious Achiuwa at the combine, maybe, just maybe, his draft stock could increase for the better.
