Post-lottery Mock NBA Draft: One week later for the Minnesota Timberwolves
By Corey Rausch
Nothing has changed to make Josh Green not the selection for the Brooklyn Nets at 19. Even as the players available shift he is still the perfect fit for a team looking for anything off the bench that can contribute to a possible title contender.
He is a good spot-up 3-point shooter while also having a focus on defense. The focus both on- and off-ball on defense will be essential for him to have that quick impact. He is smart and hardworking. The effort will go a long way into helping him crack the rotation of a seemingly top-heavy roster.
Kira Lewis, Jr. has the potential to be the steal of this draft. He is still rising up boards and would do so more as soon as workouts begin. He is lightning quick and has fantastic body control. As stated last week he also boasts the number one factor involved in Heat Culture: hustle.
He is the type of rookie Jimmy Butler will love. Kira Lewis will come in and put in the work to get better. He will take to the role of point guard of the future, checking something off wish list that the team will need to add.
Since Isaiah Joe has opted to throw his name back in the draft pool he is perfect for what the Philadelphia 76ers need. If they do not make any franchise-altering trades they will need to find shooting in a number of creative ways.
Joe is an exemplary shooter, albeit somewhat inconsistent. He was better as a freshman (41 percent) than as a sophomore (34 percent) but will have defenders pulled from him when alongside a couple of All-NBA players. This team does not need a star. They need a floor spacer. That is Isaiah Joe.
