The NBA draft lottery has come and gone. Now the league officially knows where every team stands, and it’s time to redo the draft and see how things differ.

After all the hype the NBA draft lottery certainly delivered some surprises. Two teams jumped into the top four. The New York Knicks and the Cleveland Cavaliers slid far more than they would be comfortable with. After the dust settled the two worst teams in the Western Conference were awarded the top two picks, albeit it in reverse order of their odds.

With plenty of time until the draft for reports, scouting and movement of every kind there will be many a mock draft to put together. These are simply the immediate reactions. After nothing changed other than the order at the top it is interesting how much things can change in the league overall.

The Minnesota Timberwolves now have the pick of the litter when it comes to the top of this draft or flipping the pick to bolster a roster with two All-Stars. The Golden State Warriors also have multiple All-Stars and tons of options.

Even more fun is some of the question marks at the top of this draft. The Chicago Bulls, Charlotte Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers are regularly good for a questionable decision, to put it kindly. The Atlanta Hawks traded away the rights to Luka Doncic. In the spirit of the teams at the top of the NBA draft, it is time to operate partially with logic, partially with reckless abandon.
