1. Duncan Robinson bounces back from a quiet outing in Game 1

Duncan Robinson had a somewhat forgettable rookie campaign in 2018-19. In fact, he appeared in just 15 games (including one start) and he averaged a meager 3.3 points per contest on slash lines of .391/.286/.667.

During his second year in Miami, however, it has been a completely different story. Not only did he increase his scoring output to 13.5 points per contest, but his shooting numbers also took a noticeable jump as well.

He shot 47 percent from the field and an efficient 44.6 percent from beyond the arc. Needless to say, Robinson has become one of the better shooters on this Heat roster.

In Game 1, though, he struggled a bit as he finished with just six points. Moreover, he converted just two of his eight attempts from the field in 24 minutes of action. That outing proved to be more of an aberration as Robinson had a bounce-back performance in Game 2.

He started the game knocking down three consecutive 3-point shots, enabling the Heat jump out to an early 12-3 lead. Additionally, Robinson connected on his first six attempts from downtown and didn’t record a miss until the third quarter.

At the end of the day, Miami’s sharpshooter shot a blistering 7-for-8 from the field (all 3-pointers) and he led all scorers with 24 points. Simply put, the Heat needed a breakout performance from one of their best shooters and Robinson delivered on cue.
