The Atlanta Hawks had the fourth-best odds in the draft and have jumped up to the first pick in the mock draft. With a 12.5 percent chance to move up this is a stroke of luck for a team looking to add talent to a bright young team.

While teams will debate between three players at the top, Anthony Edwards feels like a no-brainer for Atlanta should they have their choice of anyone on the board. The team only currently has two shooting guards on the roster and with a center and star point guard already in place, this is the rare time (arguable) best player available also fits the need for the team at the top.

Edwards is an absolute stud and would be almost an ideal pair next to Trae Young. He has the size and athleticism to be able to take on smaller guards on defense, making it easier to hide Young on that end of the floor.

The fact that he needs the focus to be shifted from him slightly on offense to give him a little more room to work with will be somewhat mitigated by the gravitational pull of Young. Atlanta had dreams of sneaking into the playoffs this season before being quickly derailed by a John Collins suspension. Bringing in Clint Capela and Anthony Edwards could have them right back on track.
