3. Jarell Martin

Jarell Martin was never a star for the Grizzlies. He did last for three seasons in Memphis, however, which is more than can be said for most of the other players on this list.

After making First Team All-SEC in 2015 with the LSU Tigers, Martin was selected with the 25th overall pick of the 2015 NBA Draft. Things got off to an awkward start almost immediately, with a stress fracture taking him out of the Summer League (and another foot fracture delaying his regular season debut).

As a rookie, Martin played in 27 games, averaging 5.7 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. He shot 46.6 percent from the field, which would prove to be the best mark of his career. His scoring dropped to 3.9 points per game in 2016-17, but he did show propensity from deep, shooting 36.0 percent from 3-point range.

Martin broke through properly in 2017-18, starting in 36 games. He averaged 7.7 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. That would prove to be the end of his time in Memphis, as he was dealt in the offseason for Dakari Johnson (zero games with the Grizzlies) and Tyler Harvey (zero games played in the NBA).

Martin appeared in 42 games with the Orlando Magic in 2018-19 but didn’t crack a squad this past season. He spent the past season in the G-League with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
