1. Prolific offense against prolific defense

Behind Doncic, the Mavericks made history when they set the highest offensive rating mark in NBA history at 115.9 on the season. With one of the best offenses ever constructed, statistically, the LAClippers will have a full plate to deal with. Thankfully for them, they might have the formula to overcome that.

LA currently has the fifth-ranked defensive rating in the league, coming in at 106.9 on the season. As previously mentioned, they have a wide variety of defenders spread out across their roster, which partially makes them such a threatening opponent. Going against the Mavericks in particular, the Clippers have seemed to get the best of them in their three matchups this season, going 3-0.

While Dallas typically averages 117.0 points per game and an increased 122.5 a night in the eight seeding games, the Clippers held them to totals of 99, 107 and 111 in their games this season. If any team can slow down the Mavericks’ dynamic offense, it’s the Clippers, who are no slouch on the offensive end either.

The Clippers boast the second-highest offensive rating in the league, at 113.3, just behind the Dallas Mavericks. That high volume play from both ends of the floor undoubtedly makes LA the more dangerous team, but this matchup should have no shortage of highlight plays from start to finish from either side.
