Stop Doncic

Luka Doncic is the next great thing in the NBA. This will be his first taste of playoff experience. The LA Clippers hope to make things hard for him in the first round. Coming out strong will be crucial for Doncic.

As said before, it will be up to the perimeter defenders of the Clippers to be able to stop the young star. The Rookie of the Year last year has come out this year and had an MVP caliber season. He averaged 28.8 points, 9.4 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game. His points per game average is higher than anybody on the Clippers, and that’s in his second year.

He can single-handedly take over a game. Doncic is the LeBron James of European players with his ability to do virtually anything on the court. His passing ability sets up players, he can score off the dribble and just plays straight-up smart basketball.

The thing Doncic does not have is speed. Beverley is a defender that can make things difficult for you. He will be up in Doncic’s face the whole game which will be necessary. With room, the European star can take over a game.

Putting pressure on Doncic will be key. Making him rush his decisions will negate the star.
