The Clippers and Mavericks played in a great game the last time they played. It was a great warm-up for what is to come. While the games will be great, the Clippers still have to finish the series fast.

What finishing the series fast does is it rests a team that has not been together all restart. Kawhi Leonard, who always could use rest, will be able to have that time he needs.

To finish the series early, LA needs to win the battles and attack the challenges the Mavericks present. Doncic is a smart player and will challenge the Clippers’ continuity in every possession. The trio of Patrick Beverley, George and Leonard are seasoned veterans and All-Defensive team players. Negating Doncic will be their task and how they step up to that challenge will be key.

The Clippers will have to have answers for every burst of effort from Mavericks. Playing high-level basketball on offense and defense will be key.
