Jimmy Butler vs TJ Warren

If there is anything to look forward to in this series, it is the battle between Butler and Warren. This is what we are waiting for, really – not the series itself, but this matchup. Before the bubble, these two made a, somewhat meaningless game in January entertaining.

Let’s remind ourselves what happened in that game.

It all started with Warren grabbing and fouling Butler, which led to them yelling some unpleasant stuff at each other. Soon after, Butler gives him a little bump and this causes Warren to taunt him and get himself ejected, as Butler blows some kisses.

This didn’t stop here, though. After the game, the players said what they wanted to say in the interview and on social media. This included Butler deeming Warren soft, nor to be in his league.

So, what can we expect from these two in the series?

They’re likely to go at each other, especially Warren. It seems like he wants to prove to Butler that he was wrong when he said he wasn’t in his league. Would anyone be surprised if there are more technicals, ejections and hilarious trash-talking on social media?

Butler, on the other hand, seems like he doesn’t care about this matchup as much as the media is hyping it up. He will not go off for 30 plus on Warren because that is not his role on the team, but expect some subtle jabs at him and the Pacers.
